B&W - Pattern #1 Experiments

Now that I have narrowed down the patterns that I have to just 8, I've decided to experiment a bit more with the pattern designs, making a few tweaks and changes to see if I can make any of them work better or stronger.

Pattern #1 is the following:

I made a point when making my decision on this pattern that I would make the shapes a little smaller, so that's what I started off with. Then I experimented more with it, as you can see below.
