Cocktails - Ingredients & Method #2

The cocktails ingredients and methods post continued.

Bloody Mary
Notes:

Using the notes, I typed them up.

Ingredients:

• 2 shots Vodka
• 1 dash Salt
• 1 dash Pepper
• 1 dash Tabasco Sauce
• 1 dash Worcestershire Sauce
• 1/2 shot Lemon Juice

Garnish:

• Celery Stick
• Lemon wedge

Method:

• Fill a highball glass with ice
• Add dashes of salt, pepper, tabasco sauce and worcestershire sauce into the glass
• Next, add the vodka
• Top up the drink with tomato juice
• Garnish the drink with a celery stick and lemon slice
• Use the celery stick to stir the drink

Dry Martini

Using the notes, I typed them up.

Ingredients:

• 2 shots Gin
• 1/4 shot Dry Vermouth

Garnish:

• Olives

Method:

• Pour both of the ingredients into an ice filled mixing glass
• Stir well for 20 seconds, without splashing
• Strain the drink into a chilled martini glass
• Garnish the drink with olives

Whiskey Sour

Ingredients:

• 2 shots Whiskey
• 1 shot Lemon Juice
• 1 shot Sugar Syrup

Garnish:

• Lemon Slice

Method:

• Fill an old fashioned glass with ice
• Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
• Add all of the ingredients to the cocktail shaker
• Shake well
• Strain the drink into the old fashioned glass
• Garnish the drink with a lemon slice

Vodka Martini

Ingredients:

• 2 shots Vodka
• 1/2 shot Dry Vermouth

Garnish:

• Olives
• Lemon Slice

Method:

• Pour all of the ingredients into an ice filled mixing glass

Mojito

Ingredients:

• 2 shots White Rum
• 3/4 shot Lime Juice
• 1/2 shot Sugar Syrup
• Mint Leaves
• Soda Water

Garnish:

• Lime Slices
• Mint Leaves

Method:

• Crush the mint leaves and lime juice in a chilled highball glass
• Pour the sugar syrup into the the glass
• Fill the glass with ice
• Next, add the white rum
• Top up the drink with soda water
• Stir well
• Garnish the drink with lime slices and mint leaves

Manhattan

Notes:

Ingredients:

• 2 1/2 shots Whiskey
• 1 shot Sweet vermouth
• 1 dash Angostura Bitters

Garnish:

• Cherry
• Lime Slice

Method:

• Add all of the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice
• Stir thoroughly
• Strain the drink into a chilled martini glass
• Garnish the drink with a cherry and lime slice

Margarita

Ingredients:

• 2 shots Tequila
• 1 shot Cointreau
• Lime Juice

Garnish:

• Lime Wedge
• Salt (optional)

Method:

• Rim the edge of a hurricane glass with salt (optional)
• Fill the hurricane glass with ice
• Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
• Pour all of the ingredients into the cocktail shaker
• Shake well
• Strain the drink into the hurricane glass
• Garnish with a lime slice

Tom Collins

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 shot Gin
• 1 shot Lemon Juice
• 1/2 shot Sugar Syrup
• Soda Water

Garnish:

• Cherry
• Lemon Slice

Method:

• Fill a highball glass with ice
• Pour the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup into a mixer glass filled with ice
• Stir well
• Strain the drink into the highball glass
• Top it up with soda water
• Garnish the drink with a lemon slice and cherry.

Purple Rain

Ingredients:

• 1 shot Grenadine 
• 1 shot Peach Schnapps 
• 1 shot Blue Curacao
• 1 shot Vodka
• Lemonade

Garnish:

• Lemon Slice

Method:

• Fill a highball glass with ice
• Pour the vodka, peach schnapps and blue curacao into the highball glass
• Top up the drink with lemonade
• Gently pour the grenadine into the glass
• Garnish the drink with a lemon slice

Woo Woo

• Cranberry Juice

Garnish:

• Lime Slice

Method:

• Fill a highball glass with ice
• Pour in the vodka and peach schnapps 
• Top up the drink with cranberry juice
• Garnish the drink with a lime slice
